Breast Augmentation Revision Bottoming Out 

This 26 year-old patient was seen by Dr. Chiaramonte because her breast implants had fallen below the fold of her breast–a condition known as “bottoming out.” Dr. Chiaramonte explained that the best way to correct this issue would be to perform a procedure called a capsulorrhaphy which would repair the fold of her breast, allowing her breast implant to sit equal on both sides.

Breast Augmentation Revision Bottoming Out 

This patient came in for a complimentary consultation with Dr. Chiaramonte because she believed her implants were sitting too low. During the consultation, Dr. Chiaramonte explained that her implants had “bottomed out”. Bottoming out is a term used for when an implant slips below the fold of the breast, causing it to have too much fullness in the bottom portion of the breast.
