This type of implant requires a smaller incision and is FDA-approved for augmentation in women 18 years and older.
• Gummy bear implants: A new innovation in implant technology, gummy bear implants use a molecularly cross-bonded adhesive silicone gel, which is thicker than traditional silicone gel. Because of its thickness, they’re form-stable and hold their shape even if the shell is broken. Generally tear-shaped, these implants most closely resemble the shape of natural breasts but require a longer incision.
