Pre-Treatment Instructions
- If you have a special event or travel coming up, we usually recommend scheduling treatment at least 2 weeks prior to the event as you may have some bruising and swelling. Filler can take around one month to fully settle.
- Please inform us if you have a history of cold sores or any recent illnesses, dental procedures, or rashes.
- Avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, St Johns Wort, vitamin E) for 2-3 days prior to treatment and alcohol 24 hours prior to treatment to minimize bleeding and bruising.
Post-Treatment Instructions
- Bruising and swelling may take around 2 weeks to resolve
- Avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen) for 2 days after treatment
- Do not lie flat for 4 hours after your treatment
- No makeup for 12 hours after your treatment
- No heavy exercise or sweating (sauna, hot tub) for 24 hours
- No hats or headbands for 24 hours
- Avoid facials, massages, or exfoliating the area for 48 hours
- Ice or arnica ointment can help with bruising
