Breast Augmentation Revision Bottoming Out
This 26 year-old patient was seen by Dr. Chiaramonte because her breast implants had fallen below the fold of her breast–a condition known as “bottoming out.” Dr. Chiaramonte explained that the best way to correct this issue would be to perform a procedure called a capsulorrhaphy which would repair the fold of her breast, allowing her breast implant to sit equal on both sides.
During the procedure, Dr. Chiaramonte repaired the fold to restore the symmetry to her breasts. When she returned for a follow-up visit, she was very excited to see that Dr. Chiaramonte had repaired her fold and that her breasts were even!
