This 38 year-old patient contacted our office for a complimentary consultation after she became frustrated with her fitness goals. Although she worked out vigorously and ate a well-balanced diet, no amount of push-ups would sculpt her biceps. During her consultation, Dr. Chiaramonte explained that certain areas of the body are more resistant to diet and exercise–one of those areas is the upper arm. Dr. Chiaramonte recommended liposuction of the upper arms in order to remove the stubborn fat deposits, allowing for a more contoured bicep.
Through tiny incisions placed in the crease of the arm, Dr. Chiaramonte removed the excess fat in an hour long procedure. When the patient awoke from surgery, she was very comfortable and returned home for a long weekend of resting. She returned to work just three days following surgery and was able to return to the gym two weeks later.
