This patient from came to my practice in search of a surgical procedure that could help redefine her abdominal area. She wanted to address the concern of her mid-body region. The fullness in her abdomen region made her feel apprehensive with her appearance. She was not please with how her body looked after childbirth and has struggled to return it to its previous state.

After hearing her concerns, I recommended that she consider going with an abdominoplasty (or tummy tuck) combined with mid body liposuction at our Maryland surgery center. This procedure includes liposuction from the bottom of the patient’s bra wire to the top of their panty line and done circumferentially. After the liposuction is completed, an abdominoplasty is performed. This includes an incision that spans the pelvic region to allow the excess skin to be removed.

After her body lift surgery, the patient experienced a healthy and speedy recovery. There was no infection, minimal bruising, and over time her scars healed well with minimal visibility. The contouring result was great in complimenting her appearance. The patient returned to her daily activities in normal time. She was very pleased with her results, feeling that her Maryland liposuction and tummy tuck were the best decisions she has made in accomplishing her goal.
