Like many of my patients, this 45-year-old woman from Owings, Maryland was referred to the office by a close friend of hers who had received cosmetic surgery at my offices and was very pleased with her results. She had never shared with anyone how unhappy she was with her breast shape, but once her friend opened up to her about the details of her own procedure, this woman felt much more comfortable looking into Washington, DC plastic surgeons and coming in to see me. Once she decided to seize the moment, she made an appointment at my offices in National Harbor.

After hearing her needs and concerns, I performed a physical examination. I explained that her body shape, reasonable goals, and overall health made her a perfect candidate for a bilateral breast augmentation procedure. Since the patient seemed to have thin skin, I recommended that she consider silicone implants placed under the muscle to create a smoother-looking result. After trying different implant sizers, she decided on smooth circular silicone implants inserted to be placed under the muscle.

Her recovery process went very well, she experienced very little bruising, swelling, or downtime. This was a relief for her because she was able to return to work quickly with a very natural look. She was particularly happy that no one could truly tell she had undergone any cosmetic surgery. She is extremely pleased with the results of her breast augmentation near Washington DC.
