This confident, 49-year-old business woman from Fort Washington, Maryland felt comfortable with her size but wanted to fine-tune some of her problem areas. She had a naturally curvaceous body, and looked into Washington DC plastic surgeons because she wanted to find someone qualified to refine her contours in the ways she wanted. After thoroughly researching her options, the patient scheduled a consultation with me. I performed a physical examination and heard her objectives for her procedure and recommended mid-body liposuction as the best way for her to decrease the fullness of her abdomen and trim excess fat from her inner and outer thighs. The patient agreed that this procedure could help her enhance her appearance, and she scheduled a day to have the surgery performed. I performed her surgery using the power-assisted liposuction (PAL) MicroAire® system to minimize her excess fat. Through tiny incisions I use this system to dislodge and remove her excess fat gently, allowing for smoother removal of large fatty deposits. In her procedure I removed excess fat from the thighs as well as the abdominal region using this system. The patient recovered well, with no complaints, and she has healed nicely. Thanks to her liposuction in Maryland, her curves now look well toned, giving her a distinct hourglass figure. She is highly pleased with her results and loves her new, very feminine look.
