Maryland Plastic Surgery Photo Gallery

This 66-year-old patient from Clinton, Maryland is in the public eye the majority of the time. I see many middle aged and older patients who are considering plastic surgery in Washington, DC and Maryland who like this patient are often concerned about puffiness around their eyes. She was unhappy with the excess skin on her upper and lower eyelids as well as minor sagging. She felt that these problems were beginning to affect her peripheral vision. This patient also had a history of hypertension and had several medical surgeries in the past.

During her plastic surgery consultation, I recommended that she consider having an upper and lower blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery. I also informed her that many patients combine eyelid surgery with a Maryland face lift procedure. She was concerned about possible side effects and the fact that it was a facial procedure. After talking it over with her friends and family, the patient decided to undergo the just the eyelid surgery. This procedure was performed as an outpatient surgery. For the upper and lower blepharoplasty procedure, incisions are placed both above and below the socket on each lid region and a strip of orbicularis (eyelid skin) was removed and sutured back together.

She had minimal scarring and felt much better both with her appearance and with her vision. She felt her tired, puffy look had diminished and that the surgery made her look and feel invigorated.
