This 34-year-old businesswoman from Frederick, Maryland came to my plastic surgery office for breast lift, one of the many Maryland and Washington DC breast enhancement procedures I offer at Bella Cosmetic Surgery. She had two children and had recently lost weight, both of which caused her breasts to sag and lose volume. She was happy with her cup size, but wanted to lift her breasts to their pre-pregnancy level.

After her examination and listening to her concerns, I recommended a procedure called a mastopexy (breast lift) chosen by many women who visit my cosmetic surgery practice from Washington, DC and Maryland. Since she was comfortable with her size, she would not need an augmentation or reduction. A mastopexy consists of removal of skin to lift the breast tissue. The procedure requires the same incisions as a breast reduction: an incision around the areola, straight down into the inframammary fold.

She finally felt like she fit into her new body. She knew that looking like a 20 year old again was not realistic, but the breast lift helped her feel good about her body right now.
