This woman came to Bella Cosmetic Surgery to find out whether I was the Maryland plastic surgeon she wanted to performed her breast enhancements. She wanted to give her breasts a more feminine shape, and wanted to give her breasts a rounded shape and a more flattering position. We discussed her options thoroughly, and she was very happy with the approach I proposed, so she scheduled a time for her surgery. As her "before" photos show, initially her areolas (the skin surrounding her nipples) were positioned toward the lower edge of her breast mound, and her left breast was slightly lower than her right one. In some cases women find that breast augmentation alone can hide very mild sagginess, but when the nipples are positioned this low - and especially when the patient is showing noticeable asymmetry - a breast lift is usually the best way to make sure the patient's breast augmentation results look balanced. During the surgery I inserted the implants and removed excess surface tissues around her areolas to give her breasts the higher, more balanced look that she desired. Her tighter tissues helped smooth out the curve of her breasts and elevate the nipples and areolas, reversing the "saggy" look she disliked. After I repositioned her areolas and finished reshaping her breasts, I closed the incisions and she began the healing process. Her results turned out very well; her breasts look more proportional to one another and have a younger, perkier look. The patient was very satisfied with the natural look of her results from her breast augmentation in Maryland.
