Before   After

This 23-year-old banker, like many women with very large breasts, felt that her chest size was more of a liability than an asset. After losing 46 pounds, she felt that her new appearance was still overwhelmed by her oversize breasts, and she came to me for plastic surgery in Maryland. At her current size, 38 DD, the patient was extremely unhappy and suffered from chronic neck, back, and shoulder pain. She even started to develop rashes in her inframammary fold.

For this Maryland plastic surgery patient, I recommend reduction mammoplasty. She was slightly asymmetric, but I assured her that size and asymmetry could be addressed at the same time. I explained that the procedure would include in incision around the areola, straight down, and into the fold of the breast. This type of incision allows for repositioning of the areola after both tissue and skin have been removed. The patient was also informed that there would be drains placed for about 2 to 5 days so that excess fluid would not remain in the body.

After her plastic surgery, the patient healed with minimal scarring, no sign of infection, and showed great results. She felt more comfortable with her body and more confident in her business suits.
